Sometimes it's the details that are worth remembering...sometimes it's the details that are important to leave out! Someday I'll learn to tell the difference. :)

Another day on the beach
Tuesday was a lot like all the other days on Mykonos. We got up, had breakfast, and went to the beach. Not too much to talk about.
A pair of ducks waddled by.
Sigh.
I probably should have hopped the bus into town, to venture elsewhere on the island. It sounded like the buses from there went to other beaches.
But I didn't travel to Mykonos to sit on a beach somewhere alone. So I hung out under the umbrella as AM and T flipped through more magazines.
I decided I'd take a walk, to see what's beyond the bay, maybe see what could be seen from this point here.
Actually, the point on the other side of the bay looked more promising in terms of roads and paths getting me there, so off I went.
I saw some more boats...
...in fabulous colors...
...and more chapels against the arid, rocky cliffs of the island.
The road wound around, along the edge of the bay, but then at a certain point I was stopped by a gate. Apparently the point was part of a gated community!
I could see the windmill from a few levels below, but couldn't make my way up to see it. Bummer.
So I turned around!
I followed the uphill part of the road when it forked, and made my way up between some of the houses on the hill...
...behind the hotel rather than out at the point.
