The next day we decided to climb to Madonna del Sasso, which was the church high up on the hillside above Locarno.
Afterwards we hopped on a ferry boat that took us along Lago Maggiore to the next town. The boat stops on both the Swiss and Italian sides of the lake, so it was recommended to have your passport with you... just in case! We didn't venture that far, mostly due to the timing of the boats.
