Subject: Happy Winter!!
Hi everyone!

On my way to class Monday, it was raining, as it kind of had been for the past few days. Then, within the 20 minutes I was on the bus, it turned to SNOW!!!! Big huge chunks of snowflakes, dropping like crazy! It didn't last long enough to get any accumulation, but what we had stuck! Since then it's been flurrying a bit. (Can I use that as a verb?)

Tuesday morning when I woke up I looked out my window, and it was beautiful! My window faces the Uetliberg, the hill that I'm right at the base of. The grass at the base was still bright green, and then all the trees heading up the mountain looked very Novemberish- no leaves, just gray, and transparent enough to see the ground behind it. Then, there was a distinct line where the snow started, and from there up all the trees and the ground had a light powdering of snow- the kind of thing you only see right after a snowfall, before the wind has a chance to blow it off the branches! It was so cool! The line defined a contour of the hill- not completely horizontal or vertical, but rolling with the land- that was so soft, but so distinctive. I felt like I was looking at an Ansel Adams photograph!

Happy Winter everyone!!!

Love,
Cor :) *******
