Diocletian- zuerst einfach Soldat, then started leading battles, especially against Germanen: 285-305AD
Roman Empire had become so big- co-emperors:

Diocletian in East

305AD- (?) - with Maximilian (Diocletian was the first Roman emperor to voluntarily abdicate the office)
-moved into his palace
